My Favourites…

Oh yes. All of our wedding photos are now in my grubby little hands!

And I love every single one of them.

I’m sure I’m like most Brides and I’ve flicked through them over and over again. To the point where I’m starting to get Repetitive Strain Injury in my wrist.

But I can’t help it. To work on something for 18 months and see all your hard work pay off and all your crazy ideas come together, and see the raw emotion on your husband’s face when you speak your vows, and the tears and laughs on your friends and family’s faces are something that will be etched in my heart forever but will always be so beautiful to see them again and again.

I’ve got so much I want to write about so I will be breaking it all down for you but for the moment, here are my just a few of my favourites. I hope you like them as much as I love them.

Another sneak peek….

Greetings gorgeous girls!

Well I think we are getting there with all our wedding snaps! Oh what a chore it is – having to relive these beautiful moments over and over again.

We were extremely lucky to have three fantastic photographer documenting our day: our friend Anthony of AJG PhotographyManon who took our Engagement pics and my secret Boudoir shots and then last not least our professional photographer Gabriel who’s based in Ibiza –  you can find more of his work here – www.gabivazquez.com

I PROMISE I’ll be uploading some pictures soon, I’m just in the process of sorting out our Thank you cards which is taking priority at the moment as there were so many people that our day epic.

However, here’s another of one of my favourite shots of the day, taken by the very awesome Anthony (he is very good he is).

Busy, busy, busy….

So you may have noticed that I’ve not been around the last couple of weeks and I can only give you my most humble apologies. However I’ve been busy for a good reason! In the last two weeks I / We have:

  • Booked the Hen and Stag Villa for my gorgeous hen and stags – all 17 of us!
  • Booked our venue for the Brighton knees’ up for all those that can’t make it to Ibiza.
  • Hand drawn maps and details for our wedding invites AND written all the copy.
  • Drawn and designed my wedding dress, ordered lace samples and body mannequin in order to the Mother in Law to be to start making The Dress.
  • Bought our flights for next year.
  • Flew back our Mecca that is Ibiza and met with our lovely wedding Co-ordinator Lucy to do a taste tasting of our yummy wedding dinner. (Tapas for starters, Steak or Fish for Mains and then Wedding Cake for dessert – t’was seriously scrummy) and talk through the running order of the day. Managed to take a look at our Hen and Stag villa so we know where it is too. And then we may have spent the rest of the week sunbathing, drinking, chillaxing and catching some seriously beautiful sunsets.

Ooohwee!

Next on the to do list:

  • Once the MOH has finished designing our invites, I need to get them printed and then start making the envelopes and post them out.
  • Make a start on all the DIY projects I’ve got up my sleeve (can’t say more than that just yet!)
  • Research and book Honeymoon!
  • Research Videographers

The to-do-list is never ending but oh so very exciting.

I’ve been so busy that even my addiction with Pinterest has taken a backseat. Excuse me, must dash – I’ve got days of pinning to catch up on. xxx

Beach Love

I grew up in Greater London.  “The Boy” grew up by the beach in Sussex.  He used to tell me how much fun him and his friends had living by the beach. All the space to run around, playing on their bikes on the promenade and the beach to keep them amused for hours on end. I on the other hand, grew up right by Heathrow Airport and was overjoyed when we got to go to our local park which consisted of a field, 2 swings, one slide and a dilapidated see-saw.

I moved in with “The Boy” soon after we came back from travelling and I quickly fell in love with the beach, the open space, the fresh air and the general culture in Brighton. We got used to waking up to the crashing waves and beauty of the ever changing sea whilst back-packing and we realized that we couldn’t ever not live by the sea.

Hence why we love the idea of a beach wedding or a wedding where the beach can be seen.   We want something laid back and relaxed and where we can be ourselves because underneath it all, we are both total beach bums.

We went to Ibiza for the first time last year and totally fell in love with the island,  it’s gorgeous beaches and fine sunshine.  It was there, whilst recovering from the hangover from hell that we stumbled upon Cala Gracionetta beach. A tiny beach with beautiful crystal waters and a laid back vibe.  Hidden at the back, nestled amongst the trees was an open air restaurant called El Chiringuito which was being set up for a wedding.  It looked stunning. Chairs set up under the trees, views overlooking the water, fairy lights wrapped around the branches and bunting flapping gently in the wind. Perfect.

So when we started talking about venues and where we would like to get married, Ibiza sounded awesome.  Costwise, it would be a small wedding party, 35 – 40, so realistically it could fit in our budget.

We’re looking to fly out there in June to take a look and see if it’s feasible.  Fingers crossed!
