Friday’s Loveliness – Heavenly Hair

I love my bridesmaids. Not just because they are truly amazing, funny and gorgeous but they also send me pictures of wedding bits and bobs that they know I adore. They’re the best!

So was having a little think about pretty hairstyles for the big day for me and my girls. We all have different hair lengths, thickness and styles so we can all have a play around with what suits us and our dresses. Check out these boho beauties:

Friday’s Loveliness – Flower crowns

New weekly post coming your way!  Every Friday I will be uploading a few pics from my inspiration boards to whet your appetites and hopefully swing the inspiration back at you guys.

So my first Friday Loveliness is all about flower crowns for the bridesmaids (maybe for me too!)  I got a-tweeting with a lovely girl from Rosey Posey Creations at this week’s #weddinghour and she makes these beautiful flower headbands which would be perfect for my little bridesmaids and my older bridesmaids too.

I love flower crowns and they’re totes perfect for a boho wedding on the beach. What do you think – cute right?!

Feathers and Boho. A match made in heaven.

So I am just LOVING feathers at the moment.  I had a feathers frenzy on Pinterest this week and saw so many gorgeous ways of incorporating beautiful  feathers into your perfect day. Ideally we’re looking to get married in Ibiza so what goes better with the whole boho look, feel and style then these beauties?!

My very lovely friend Olivia has this fab beauty service called Plumed which are natural feather hair extensions and look truly amazing. Unfortunately she’s based in Singapore (boohoo to me!) but take a look at the website here and definitely join the Plumed Facebook page which has lots of updates and more lovely photos. Wouldn’t they look gorgeous in the bridesmaids hair?!

These would look so pretty in my Bridesmaids hair.

So pretty!

Boho Wedding Love

Oh my. This has got to be the most beautiful boho wedding EVER.  Those bridesmaids dresses are stunning, amazingly accessorized and perfect for the natural setting.

And don’t get me started on the Bride’s dress.  I think it ticks every single box I have in my mind for my dress.

And yes I  might have watched this video 1 or 2…. hundred times.

You can find the dreamy like pictures from the wedding from the Spell & Gypsy Collective Blog here. Have a look around this blog after – it is pretty awesome.

How pretty?!

Soooooooo…. we don’t even have a date set for the big day, we don’t even know where we are getting married or even thought about colour schemes but I saw this dress in Zara and thought wouldn’t it be perfect for a Bridesmaid dress for a beach wedding?!

It would suit every body shape as the beautiful floaty layers would mean you wouldn’t have to be sucking in all night and it’s just the right length showing enough sexy leg. Just needs the right accessories and you’re good to go.

And wait for it….. it’s £39.99! Shall I start stockpiling now?!

My Beautiful Bridesmaids

When the Boy proposed and we discussed our dream wedding, we thought a beautiful, intimate ceremony on the beach would be just perfect.

I thought it would be silly to have a large bridal party for a small wedding with 40 guests, so I initially asked one of my oldest childhood friends whether she would do the honour of being my bridesmaid,  which she happily said yes – phew!

I have known her since she was in her nappies, she’s the youngest daughter of my Mum’s best friend. We grew up together, went to the same schools, ate at each other’s houses, partied together, cried together, laughed with each other and she and her sister have been there for my family through thick and thin.  She’s like a sister to me.  Plus she’s an incredibly talented designer who I’ve co-ereced into designing all my wedding stationary (and she created my Bride by the Beach logo – isn’t she lovely!)

However, I also have three other amazing friends who I’ve met at Uni and the more I thought about it, the more I realised that I couldn’t NOT have them there by my side.  This year would be our 10 year anniversary of our friendship and we’ve been through soooooo much together. They are the most awesome girls I’ve ever met, hearts of gold, patient, beautiful, smart, loyal and full of love, life and laughter.  I couldn’t have gotten through University without them or danced so much without them.  Even though we now live all over the UK, we still make the effort to see each other every few months and have the bestest time drinking the vino and giggling away. They just have to be my Bridesmaids.

So with that in mind, I thought to myself, how best to ask them?  I saw lots of things on the net like little necklaces, bridesmaids gift bags, cards etc but wanted something a little original so I made a Powerpoint presentation! Yep you heard me a Powerpoint presentation. And yes I am a little bit geeky.

We were able to all get together a few weeks ago and I sat them down and played it out – here are a few of the slides:

They didn’t have a clue what was it was about but once they realised, they were over the moon!

Now I’ll have four stunning girls by my side on my big day to hold my hand, fix my hair, smooth my dress and even pull me down from the bathroom window if I get cold feet.

And if you’re struggling about who to choose as your Bridesmaids for your big day, give this fab article from Wedding Party a read.  I love you girlies! xx
